Winston Chai is the Assistant Head (Industry) of Sector Development Group at the DesignSingapore Council, bringing a distinguished career operating at the intersection of design, business development, and serial entrepreneurship across local, international, public, and private sectors.

Previously, Winston spent seven years as the Director of Business Development at award-winning innovation consultancy STUCK. Collaborating closely with the team, he expanded the agency’s headcount and scaled revenues tenfold, masterfully integrating design thinking with commercial strategy.

His foundational career includes working as an industrial designer with Lenovo Corporation in Beijing, a Japanese design satellite studio, and premier local consultancies. Deeply committed to talent stewardship, he spent nine years as a design educator at Singapore Polytechnic, and has served as an adjunct lecturer at the National University of Singapore (NUS), LASALLE College of the Arts, and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

An active creator, Winston has co-founded several successful creative ventures, including lifestyle brand ATAS, digital kids’ channel MNOP KIDS (garnering over 5 million views), and award-winning design studio TRIGGERHAPPY, which clinched a Gold at the International Design and Communication Awards.
