SIDA Icon Award

NEW SPECIAL AWARD

Open for Entries

  1. The SIDA Icon Award recognises an outstanding interior designer or design firm that exemplifies exceptional design excellence, innovation, leadership, and meaningful impact within the interior design industry.
  2. Open to individual local and international interior designers (sole practitioners or named principals/directors of a registered design firm) and design firms of any size.
  3. The final assessment will be based on a weighted scoring system comprising 70% Jury Assessment and 30% Public Voting.
  4. Individual participants must submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV) in PDF format outlining their design experience, years of professional practice, current position, major areas of expertise, selected achievements, industry involvement, awards, publications, and other professional contributions.
  5. Participating firms must submit a corporate profile of up to 1,000 words in English describing the design firm, describing the nominee's design firm, including its background, design philosophy, achievements and contributions to the interior design industry. This corporate write-up should support the nominee's application for the SIDA Icon Award, demonstrating how the firm's body of work reflects the nominee's design excellence, leadership, innovation and lasting impact on the profession.
  6. The participant or participating firm must submit three (3) letters of recommendation from peers, colleagues, or clients in PDF format. Each letter should endorse the nominee for the SIDA Icon Award, outlining the reasons why the nominee exemplifies exceptional design excellence, visionary leadership, innovation, and enduring contributions that have shaped and elevated the interior design industry.
  7. The participant or participating firm may also submit any additional supporting documents demonstrating significant achievements, professional recognition, or contributions by the designer or design firm.
  8. Participants must submit at least one (1) signature completed built project in each of the following four (4) categories: Residential, Retail, Hospitality and F&B. There is no maximum limit to the number of projects that may be submitted in each category.
  9. All projects must have been completed between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2026.
  10. Submit a concept write-up of 400–500 words in English describing each submitted project.
  11. Submit at least one (1) layout plan of each submitted project in PDF format.
  12. Submit a minimum of five (5) images of each submitted project in JPG or PNG format (1920 × 1080 pixels), in landscape orientation.
Singapore Global Impact Designer

NEW SPECIAL AWARD

Open for Entries

  1. This award recognises an individual Singapore-based designer whose work has achieved significant recognition or influence beyond Singapore’s shores, advancing the international standing of Singapore design, who consistently deliver completed built projects (from area in Residential, Workplace, Public Spaces, F&B, Hospitality, Retail, Exhibition, Healthcare and Social Impact Design) of the utmost design excellence.
  2. Only open to individual Singapore-based interior designers (sole practitioners or named principals/directors of a Singapore-registered design firm).
  3. The participant must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
  4. Submit three (3) letters of recommendation from peers, colleagues, or the designer’s client in PDF format. This letter of recommendation supports the nomination of individual for Singapore Global Impact Designer, stating the reasons for their commitment and dedication to creating global impact and representing Singapore's excellence.
  5. Submit a Cover Letter in PDF format.
  6. Submit a list of international awards and recognitions received by the designer, together with website URLs and/or supporting documents (e.g. award certificates), compiled into a single PDF file. The awards are not restricted by the year they were received.
  7. Submit a minimum of six (6) completed built projects with minimum three (3) completed built projects internationally.
  8. All projects must have been completed between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2026.
  9. Submit a concept write-up of 150–200 words in English describing each submitted project.
  10. Submit at least one (1) layout plan of each submitted project in PDF format.
  11. Submit a minimum of five (5) images of each submitted project in JPG or PNG format (1920 × 1080 pixels), in landscape orientation.
Singapore Global Impact Design Firm

NEW SPECIAL AWARD

Open for Entries

  1. This award recognises a Singapore-based design firm whose body of work has expanded Singapore's design influence internationally through cross-border projects, global commissions, and sustained recognition abroad.
  2. Open only to design firms incorporated and registered in Singapore, regardless of company size.
  3. Participating Firms must be a 'live' company incorporated and registered in Singapore to provide Interior Design Services.
  4. Participating firms must submit their ACRA Business Profile as supporting documentation to verify their registration in Singapore.
  5. Submit a corporate profile write-up of up to 1,000 words in English describing the design firm. This profile write-up supports the firm's nomination for Singapore Global Impact Designer Firm, stating the reasons for its commitment and dedication to creating global impact and representing Singapore's excellence.
  6. Submit a list of international completed built projects, together with website URLs and/or supporting documents (e.g. completed built project images), compiled into a single PDF file. The projects are not restricted by completion year.
  7. Submit a list of international awards and recognitions received by the design firm, together with website URLs and/or supporting documents (e.g. award certificates), compiled into a single PDF file. The awards are not restricted by the year they were received.
  8. Submit a minimum of five (5) completed built projects with minimum three (3) completed built projects internationally:

This award recognises designer that have consistently demonstrated excellence across a portfolio of completed built projects (across Residential, Workplace, Public Spaces, F&B, Hospitality, Retail, Exhibition, Healthcare and Social Impact Design) that exemplify outstanding design quality, innovation, professionalism and meaningful contributions to the advancement of the interior design industry.This entry recognises the designers who consistently deliver completed built projects (from area in Residential, Workplace, Public Spaces, F&B, Hospitality, Retail, Exhibition, Healthcare and Social Impact Design) of the utmost design excellence.

This award recognises design firm that have consistently demonstrated excellence across a portfolio of completed built projects (across Residential, Workplace, Public Spaces, F&B, Hospitality, Retail, Exhibition, Healthcare and Social Impact Design) that exemplify outstanding design quality, innovation, professionalism and meaningful contributions to the advancement of the interior design industry.

Design Educator of the Year

  1. The Design Educator of the Year Award recognises an outstanding educator who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and excellence in nurturing the next generation of interior designers. It celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to design education through inspiring teaching, academic leadership, industry engagement and mentorship. This award honours educators whose passion, knowledge and commitment have shaped aspiring designers and advanced the standards of interior design education and the profession.
  2. This special award is open by public nomination only. If you wish to nominate a design educator for this award, please submit your nomination by clicking the “Nominate” button below.
  3. The nominee must be teaching interior design-related courses at institutions based in Singapore.
  4. The nominee must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
  5. Eligible nominated design educators will be informed via email to submit the required documents.
  6. The nominee is required to submit a 1,500-word write-up in English articulating their teaching philosophy, core values, strategies, and evidence of impact on students’ learning and growth.
  7. The nominee is required to submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV) in PDF format.
  8. The nominee is required to submit two (2) letters of recommendation from peers, colleagues, or the nominee’s immediate supervisor in PDF format.
  9. The nominee is required to submit three (3) student project references demonstrating high achievement, completed between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2026, in JPG or PDF format.
  10. The nominee may also submit any additional supporting documents that best demonstrate their professional achievements and contributions to the interior design industry.

Lifetime Achievement Award

  1. The Lifetime Achievement Award honours an individual whose distinguished career has made an exceptional and enduring contribution to the interior design profession. It recognises visionary leadership, sustained design excellence, professional integrity, and a lasting impact on the advancement of the industry. This prestigious award celebrates individuals whose achievements have inspired generations of designers, shaped the built environment, and elevated the standards and recognition of interior design both locally and internationally.

  2. Only completed built projects that used Daikin air-conditioning products are eligible for submission under this category.
  3. Entries must exclusively feature Daikin air-conditioning products, and submitted images must clearly indicate the products used in the project.
  4. Projects must have been completed between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2026, and must be located in Singapore.
  5. Participants must provide a full address of the submitted project for Daikin's internal verification.
