Born in Hong Kong, Steve Leung is an internationally renowned architect, interior and product designer with over 40 years of design experience. Taking inspirations from Asian culture and arts, his works are famous for their unique contemporary style, gaining high reputation and global acclaim. In 2015, Steve was conferred Interior Designer of the Year at the Andrew Martin International Interior Design Awards.

Steve has unique thoughts and philosophy on design. Since his business start-up in 1987, Steve has broken through traditional frameworks and geographical boundaries with forward-looking international vision, shepherding SLD into a world-leading interior design company. In 2013, he became the first Chinese Creative Director at YOO, establishing “Steve Leung & YOO”. In 2015, he established Steve Leung Exchange Ltd. (SLX) to foster international design collaborations in Mainland China.

Believing in social responsibilities, Steve actively participates in public roles to give back and cultivate young designers, frequently judging authoritative awards like iF Design Award and Red Dot Design Award. He served as the first Chinese IFI President (2017–2020), holds key roles at CIDA and Hong Kong Design Centre, and co-founded C Foundation in 2014. In 2022, Steve was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) by the HKSAR Government.
