Ar. Chio Wen Tian

Principal Architect of CHIO Architects

Ar. Chio Wen Tian is the Principal Architect of CHIO Architects and Founder of MONO.POLY Studio, both established in 2019. He currently serves as a Council Member of the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) and was previously the Chairperson of the SIA Young Architects League (YAL) from 2022 to 2025. He is also the 1st Vice-President of the Architecture Alumni Association (AAA) NUS, and Zone Representative for the ARCASIA Committee on Young Architects.

A top graduate from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Master of Architecture in 2014, he was awarded the Board of Architects (BOA) Prize and Gold Medal, SIA Medal for M.Arch, and Aedas Medal & Prize in Architectural Design. His leadership roles include serving as the 32nd President of The Architecture Society (TAS) NUS, and as Co-Festival Director for SIA Archifest 2015 & 2016.

His award-winning works include “Embrace! @ Yuhua,” which won the Singapore Design Award 2022 and MND Municipal Services Awards 2023. His adaptive reuse project, OLA HALE, earned the Tatler Homes Design Award 2024 and Singapore Good Design Award 2024. Other accolades include the BCA Built Environment Career Advocate Award 2024 and NUS CDE Outstanding Young Alumni Award 2024.
