Stephane Lasserre is a Principal and Hospitality Studio Practice Leader at HKS, based in the firm’s Singapore office. With over two decades of global design experience, he champions design excellence across the Asia Pacific region, blending tradition with innovation to shape transformative hospitality experiences.

Over the years, Stephane has led hospitality and mixed-use developments in Canada, India, and across the Asia Pacific. His design approach is rooted in cultural context and social insight, allowing him to craft spaces that resonate with how people live, connect, and find meaning in the places they stay, play, work, and live. Actively involved from the earliest project phases, Stephane collaborates closely with clients to uncover their aspirations and deliver distinctive, impactful, and enduring design solutions. His recent projects include the Banyan Tree Manila Bay Hotel and Banyan Tree Yangcheng Lake Resort, which was a finalist in this year’s Hospitality Design Awards, Upscale Hotel category. Stephane builds trust with project stakeholders and creates a rhythm in his ability to inspire, garnering long-term partnerships.

A strong advocate for sustainability, Stéphane is the creator & Chief Farmer of “Nobo Farms”, a modular micro-farm initiative launched in Singapore in 2022, reflecting his commitment to urban farming and future-forward living.
