Cindy Tan is a design educator with broad experience in interior design, shaping contemporary spatial thinking across diverse contexts. She views making and creating as a process of exploration, where ideas are driven by critical thinking and realised into purposeful, human‑centred spaces. Her approach focuses on clear concepts, material awareness, and relevance to evolving design practices.

As Course Chair for the Diploma in Interior Design at Singapore Polytechnic, she leads and shapes the programme through curriculum development, academic coordination, and industry engagement. She emphasises learning through process and research, nurturing designers who are conceptually grounded, critically aware, and equipped to navigate future industry challenges with confidence and adaptability.
