Dr. Patrick Leung has been working in the interior design industry for more than 40 years, he is a Canadian Chinese who was born in Hong Kong at 1956, Patrick graduated at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), be honored with the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters by Lincoln University in 2012. Patrick has set up his design firm P A L DESIGN GROUP in 1994 focus on large scale projects. Patrick is proficient in integrating eastern and western culture, creates spaces artistically with an emphasis on art, function and creativity.
Over the past 40 years, Patrick has created many iconic projects including international hotels, clubhouse, show-flat, sales office, workspace, and villas, etc. his projects are spread across the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, and China. Patrick has led P A L team to create numerous quality and large-scale projects over 25 years, they have been awarded more than 200 international awards, and Patrick was also elected as “The World’s 50 Leading Interior Designers”, “Most Influential Designer of the Year in China”, “Chinese Design Figure of the Year”, "Annual Grand Designer", "Artist of Life", etc. Further, he has received “The Contribution of China Design Awards”, he is an influential figure in the Asian design industry.
Over the years, Patrick has also actively participated in different public positions. He is currently a guest lecturer at the Department of Environmental Arts of Central Academy of Fine Arts, Founding Director and President-elect of the C Foundation, a fellow member of the Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA), and a senior member of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Foundation. Since 2012, he has established the "Patrick Leung Travelling Scholarship" at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) to encourage students from the Department of Design to broaden their knowledge. Patrick also served as an external jury of the PolyU and an advisory committee on Infrastructure Development of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). In recent years, he has traveled throughout the world and China to share his design experiences and successful experience, and served as a judge in many design competitions, and actively promote the development of the design industry and public welfare.
