Han Kiang Siew has spent over two decades practicing across architecture, public space, interior, exhibition, and furniture design. Prior to his current role as an independent designer and educator, he practiced at Kay Ngee Tan Architects, where he worked on projects such as the Singapore Pavilion at World Expo Shanghai and Page One Bookstore at VivoCity, recipient of the President’s Design Award in 2007.

His portfolio spans projects of diverse scales and typologies, including GLP I-Park Beijing, the Singapore River Round Island Route, Good Class Bungalows in Singapore, and the Singapore Botanic Gardens Gallop Extension, which received the SIA Architectural Design Awards 2023 Design of the Year. His interior and exhibition work includes Books Kinokuniya in New York, projects for the Les Amis Group, and Hybricity: Singapore at Beijing’s 798 Art District.

Kiang Siew’s practice explores the evolving intersections between urban environments and nature through meaningful spatial interventions. Alongside his architectural and spatial practice, he is also an award-winning furniture designer and has been involved in various arts projects, bringing an interdisciplinary dimension to his work. Bridging design practice, education, and the arts, he brings a holistic perspective to the profession, informed by experience across multiple scales and contexts.
